Kirk Sherman is honored and excited (and very nervous) to be dancing in such an incredible event, representing TeamSmile and the BMA Foundation. TeamSmile provides free dental care to underserved children, where they travel all over the United States helping children in need of dental care.
Kirk was born and raised in Oregon, moved to San Francisco after college, where he met his beautiful bride Patty. They have been married 31 years and are proud parents of 2 children, Brian (28) and Kathleen (27). Work brought Kirk to Kansas City 28 years ago and he is currently Managing Director and Principal at Newmark Grubb Zimmer. Kirk has played a major role in shaping the skyline of the Kansas City Metropolitan area, managing many high-profile projects, such as the Kansas City KS and Kansas City MO Federal Courthouses, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Sprint World Headquarters, Village West, NNSA, Johnson County Courthouse and many others important projects.
Kirk was a long time Board Member for the Kansas City KS Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife are active in various non-profits and charitable events throughout the year. They are both grateful to have the privilege to help raise money for all the fantastic charities BMA supports.
When not at work, Kirk enjoys gourmet cooking, BBQ contests, traveling, boating, fishing, golfing, biking and most of all, spending quality time with his family and friends.
Kirk will be dancing with Morgan McCool.
Morgan trained at Priscilla and Dana's School of Dance in jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, contemporary, ballet, and lyrical.
