As a KC Native, Lisa is honored and excited to be dancing and involved with such a prestigious and exciting event! This if Lisa's first time catapulting into the world of Dance, and she could not be more thrilled to dive in head first! She will be representing Do Good Co, a non profit store featuring curated goods. Do Good Co distributes all proceeds to KidsTLC, a Kansas based nonprofit organization that provides innovative and successful psychiatric treatment, homeless outreach to teens, outpatient behavioral health, autism and parent support groups, and KC Pet Project, one of Kansas City's largest no-kill animal shelter.
Lisa was introduced to the BMA Foundation and it's founder, Jerry Anselmo through several mutual friends in the Kansas City area. She quickly realized there were so many ties she had to the Organization that she never even knew about prior, and she quickly saw the impact that was being made on numerous charities throughout the KC Metro area. The passion and desire behind the cause is what made it hit so close to home, so quickly. It was through this, that Lisa knew it was a perfect match and opportunity to help give back to the BMA Foundation, KC Pet Project, and Kids TLC. To her, giving back is one of the most rewarding and selfess things you can do.
As an avid Animal Lover since a child, Lisa works in the Veterinary Medical Industry at Nutramax Laboratories, and travels the Midwest calling on Veterinary Practices. She has been involved with anything and everything animals starting at the age of 10 when she started taking horseback riding lessons. She convinced her parents to buy her "Scarlet," her very first horse, and the rest is history. Lisa enjoys spending her free time at the barn and preparing for upcoming horse shows. Lisa is also avidly involved in the Pageant industry. The "Pageant bug" hit her in 1999 at her first pageant, Miss Kansas USA. She took home the State Title in 2004 and competed in the Miss USA 2004 Competition in Los Angeles, CA that year representing Kansas. She currently is still very active as a Coach and Director in the pageant industry, and produces the Miss Merry Christmas and International Junior Miss pageant each year. It is incredibly fulfilling to watch the growth and confidence these young ladies achieve on their journey's throughout Pageantry.
Lisa's biggest love however, is family. Almost every single relative of her's resides in the Kansas City area, including her Fiance' Chris Cardello's family and friends. Together, they have Giovanni, their 2 year old son, who Lisa says is her greatest achievement to date.
